Korean facial routine
Korean cosmetics have gained popularity all over the world. But what makes it so special?
Korean cosmetics, which include both decorative and skincare products, originated in South Korea. Koreans have created a unique philosophy of beauty, youth and healthy skin. The efficacy of their products is based not only on manufacturing technology, but also on carefully selected ingredients. Some of the plants used in Korean products are grown only in South Korea, which gives them a special value.
Korean women's skin is the envy of the world - always flawless: smooth, clean, like porcelain. But it's worth pointing out that this effect is not achieved through genetics, but through proper skincare, as Koreans have shown the world.
It's important to know that not all skin imperfections are hidden by cosmetics, but eliminated with the right Korean skincare products. Every evening, Koreans perform a skin care ritual that consists of several steps.
Korean facial routine
Choosing the right skin care with Korean products depends on your skin type. Korean cosmetics do not contain soap or alcohol, and the whole system includes up to 10 care steps. With regular use of Korean cosmetics, the skin becomes more radiant, supple and youthful.
Stereotypes of Korean care cosmetics
Korean products are really high quality and effective when chosen according to skin type and concerns.
However, some myths about Korean skincare are worth debunking:
- Korean products are expensive - it's a myth. With us, you'll find maintenance products to suit every budget, while quality meets expectations.
- Korea's maintenance routine is too complex - this is also a myth. It's important to follow certain steps that quickly become a pleasant and relaxing daily habit.
- Korean products have no age indicators - it's true. Korean cosmetics are designed to address and prevent skin problems, whatever your age.
10 steps to take care of yourself, following the example of Korean women:
- Make-up removal with hydrophilic oil or sherbet. Sherbet is a solid hydrophilic oil. Hydrophilic oil effectively removes make-up, dirt, bruises and excess oil.
- Cleaning the face with foam, gel or foam cleaner. Choosing the right product prevents damage to the skin's lipid barrier, inflammation and rashes. The cleanser should have a pH of around 5.5, should not dry the skin and should provide a feeling of cleanliness and hydration.
- Peeling 2-3 times a week. Use cleansing pads, soft exfoliators, exfoliating gels, enzyme powders, acids and masks. This step removes dead skin cells, cleanses out pores and excess oil, preparing the skin for subsequent care products.
- Toner - an important irrigation step. On hot days, moisturising sprays can be used for additional irrigation.
- Face mask - choose a mask according to its active ingredients, whether it's a fabric or hydrogel mask. This step can be optional.
- Serum/ampoule/essents - A key product for Korean maintenance. Use peptides, collagen, antioxidants, vitamin C, retinol to fight the signs of ageing. To reduce pigmentation and acne - niacinamide, glutathione, vitamin C, retinol, AHA acids. BHA acids help with inflammation and breakouts.
- Emulsion - a light product with a consistency between cream and serum. This step can be skipped.
- Eye cream - the eye area needs special care. Two products are often used: a serum and a cream.
- Face cream/oily mask - this step "seals in" all the previously applied active ingredients and retains moisture in the skin. Night masks, which are more concentrated, act like serums.
- Sunscreen - daily use of sunscreen is essential. Pay attention to the SPF and PA values to protect your skin from UVA and UVB rays, which can damage your skin even on cloudy days and through glass.
